The Ludlow Lectures are on the theme of "The History and Landscape of Ludlow and the Marches". (The 'Marches' are the border area between Wales and England, including Shropshire, Herefordshire, parts of Cheshire, Worcestershire, plus mid-Wales itself.)  These continue in the tradition of the late Dr. David Lloyd MBE, an inspirational local historian who ran a series of lectures for many years (see Archive 2005-09).  There are two Ludlow Lectures series a year: Spring and Autumn.

The theme is wide enough to allow considerable diversity of topics for lectures, but focussed on the (largish) local area. The anticipated programme is listed on the 'Home' page (i.e. click 'Home' on the above menu bar).

The Lectures are held in Ludlow Assembly Rooms, Market Square Ludlow SY8 1AZ, following extensive refurbishment and modernisation in 2021.

The location of the Assembly Rooms can be seen by clicking here.
